Applicable Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as required by the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and Directive (EU) 2019/882.
Current Accessibility Features
The following accessibility features are currently implemented on this website:
- Skip-to-main-content link available on every page (visible on keyboard focus).
- Semantic HTML landmarks (
nav,main,footer) used throughout. - All images include descriptive
alttext. - Text colour contrast meets WCAG AA requirements across primary content areas.
- Forms include associated labels for all input fields.
- Interactive elements (buttons, links) are keyboard-navigable.
- Cookie consent banner includes ARIA
role="dialog"and accessible button labels. - Language is declared in the
langattribute of the<html>element. - Page titles are unique and descriptive.
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility could be improved. We are actively working to address these:
- Some decorative background images may lack explicit
role="presentation"attributes. - Video content (where present) may not yet have captions or audio descriptions.
- Certain complex animations may not respect
prefers-reduced-motionsettings on all pages. - Full keyboard trap prevention has not yet been audited for all modal/overlay components.
- A formal third-party WCAG 2.1 AA audit has not yet been completed.
